Employer funding
Funding Career Designer through your employer
Many employers fund professional development from a learning and development budget, and Career Designer qualifies naturally: it is a structured career development system, not a job board or a course of casual content. Here is how to make the request well.
Frame it as development
Make the request about capability, not movement. Career Designer builds a current account of your expertise and experience, a tested view of where you add most value, and a deliberate plan for your development. That is work any serious employer wants its senior people to have done, and it includes the case for growing exactly where you are. Your work within the platform is private to you throughout; your employer funds access and sees nothing of the content.
A template for the request
Subject: Development request
I would like to use part of my development budget for Career Designer, a structured career development system for senior professionals built on a five-stage model: Awareness, Aspirations, Alignment, Action and Activation. It produces a current professional profile, a tested view of where I contribute most, and a concrete development plan. Annual access is £250. I can forward the invoice for reimbursement or arrange for it to be billed to the company directly. Details are at careerdesigner.com.
Invoices and receipts
Every purchase generates a receipt automatically. If your employer needs an invoice showing the company name and address, add these details at checkout or contact us and we will reissue it. If your organisation would rather purchase directly, or fund access for several people, see Career Designer for Organisations.
